Tour Outline

Please find below a rough schedule outlining the intended tour schedule. However, keep in mind that this may change due to unexpected situations or bad weather.

Day 1

• Arrival in Tokyo, where you’ll make your way to our hotel.

• We’ll have breakfast as a group whilst we go through our tour itinerary.

• Afterwards, we will leisurely explore Tokyo for the remainder of the day.
Day 2

• We shall journey from Ueno Station in Tokyo in the early morning.

• Starting photographic adventure by capturing the beauty of Lake Kawaguchi during the later part of the afternoon until early evening.
Day 3

• We rise early on day three to photograph the majestic Chureito Pagoda.

• Returning to the hotel for breakfast and proceeding with the checkout process, we prepare to travel to Kyoto.

• During our stay in this region, we shall rent a car for the night. This allows us access to the various lakes and splendid vistas of Mount Fuji.

• We will visit Shiraito Falls, Lakes Saiko and Yamanakako, for our bespoke landscape photography workshops.
Day 4 - 5

• For the next two nights we will be staying in Kyoto.

• Over the two days, we will be snapping the remarkable temples, shrines, and gardens of Zen. Including Fushimi Inari, Bamboo Grove and the extraordinary Golden Temple.

• We will also have plenty of opportunities to take exquisite portrait photos of authentic Geishas.
Day 6 - 7

• Another early rise on day six as we travel to Omi-Hachiman, where we will spend the following two nights.

• Surrounded by ancient structures of past merchants, we'll reside in authentic lodging, immersing in the essence of this historic place.

• In contrast to Kyoto, our accommodation in marshlands near Lake Biwa allows us to appreciate rural Japan's serene beauty.
Day 8 - 9

• Day eight and nine will be spent at Kanazawa, capturing its astonishing gardens and castles.
• Two of the prime locations for capturing captivating images are the tea district and the Kenrokuen gardens.
• We also will visit the bustling fish market situated in the city center. Here we can relish in the delightful experience of sampling a variety of delectable seafood from the Japan sea. Making it an ideal choice for either breakfast or lunch.
Day 10

• On day ten we shall venture towards Ainokura Village.
• Our overnight stay will be at a traditional accommodation in a 250-year-old farmhouse. Located in the UNESCO heritage village, this exceptional encounter promises to be unlike any other!
Day 11

• We’ll be spending the night in Nagano City.
• Upon arrival, our bags will be deposited, and thereafter we will embark on a late morning bus ride to Monkey Park.
• Following our visit to Monkey Park, we will return to Nagano City by train from Yudanaka.
• While making our way back from Yudanaka Station, there is a possibility that we will have the opportunity to witness a Japanese Archery demonstration.
• Ultimately, our final dinner will take place in Nagano City.
Day 12

• To conclude our journey, we will visit Zenkouji Temple in Nagano City. Here we will be fortunate enough to receive a blessing before travelling back to Tokyo.
• Upon arrival in Tokyo, we will bid our farewells as we depart on our respected flights home.
