Canary Islands Photography Tour

On our thrilling landscape photography tours, we’ll focus on capturing breathtaking coastal images of three of the Canary Islands. Including Tenerife, La Palma, and La Gomera.

Additionally, we will have the opportunity to engage in macro photography of the local flora and fauna.

Expect to witness awe-inspiring volcanic landscapes, mist-covered forests, dramatic rocky coastlines, quaint traditional villages, and charming harbours.

The Canary Islands are renowned for their dark skies, allowing us the opportunity to also capture magnificent astro-landscapes, weather permitting.

Starting before sunrise and concluding after sunset, we will spend each day shooting to make the most of our time. Your experienced guide will also offer expert industry advice to heighten you photography skills.

With our small group photography tours, you will have the freedom to fully explore each location to your heart’s content! Giving you ample opportunity to maximise your photography experience at each site.

Please keep in mind that this tour will be highly intensive, as we aim to include as much as possible within our schedule. It’s possible that we may need to wait for optimal lighting conditions to capture optimal photos of the Canary Islands.

Tour Outline

Please find below a rough schedule outlining the intended tour schedule. However, keep in mind that this may change due to unexpected situations or bad weather.

Day 1

• Upon an early arrival, you will transfer to our dedicated hotel.

• We will spend the rest of day familiarising ourselves with each other and going through the tour’s itinerary.

• Ending the day with an evening shoot at Teide volcano.
Day 2 & 3

• Day two and three will be spent in the stunning region of Tenerife.

• Sessions will be held in the early morning and late afternoon, with a break scheduled for midday.

• Our focus will be on capturing the captivating volcanic landscape at an altitude of 2500m in the mountains.

• Here we can observe interesting effects created by swirling clouds originating from the ocean, particularly when employing long exposures.

• In addition, we will explore the stunning rock formations along the shoreline of coastal landscapes.

• Throughout the day, we will also visit various ancient Spanish towns and an area abundant with cactus and succulents.
Day 4

• An early rise on day four as we transfer to La Palma via ferry.
• After reaching the capital, a quaint and historical town adorned with captivating architecture, we will proceed with our check-in.
• Following a satisfying lunch, we’ll venture on a photographic journey, exploring the scenic wonders of the island until sunset.
Day 5 & 6

• We will spend two full days in La Palma. Aiming to capture the vast expanse of the giant caldera, one of the world's largest craters. Alongside, a magnificent pine forest thrives amidst the lava, presenting a truly captivating sight.

• The coastal landscapes of various locations offer striking visuals, accentuated by the prominent presence of black sand in the foreground.

• Additionally, La Palma boasts the largest European observatory, which makes it an exceptional destination for night photography!
Day 7

• Another early rise as we travel to La Gomera via ferry.

• Infamous for its striking divergence, this island showcases cloud-covered mountains on its northern slopes.

• On the other hand, basking in the warmth of dry sunlit slopes to the south.

• Additionally, it boasts captivating coastal landscapes and profound canyons. Like its island counterparts, night photography yields great opportunities here!
Day 8 & 9

• We’ll spend two whole days capturing the breathtaking scenery of La Gomera. There may be a chance for us to transfer to Tenerife on the ninth day.

• Providing that our return flight departs before 12pm.
Day 10

• On our last morning, we will rise early to catch a ferry to Tenerife.

• After saying our goodbyes, we will depart for our respected flights.
